- Website usage and advertising attribution data where you consent to marketing cookies.
2. How we use information
We use information where necessary to provide the service, meet our legal obligations, protect users and improve LessonBuddy. This includes:
- Creating and maintaining accounts.
- Providing scheduling, messaging, progress, payment and route features.
- Processing transactions and maintaining accurate records.
- Sending service notifications and responding to support requests.
- Preventing fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- Understanding and improving the reliability and usability of our services.
- Measuring marketing performance where you have given consent.
3. Website cookies and Meta Pixel
Our website stores a small preference in your browser so we can remember whether you accepted or declined optional marketing tracking.
If you select “Accept”, we load the Meta Pixel (Pixel ID 865959243051795). Meta may receive information about your visit, browser, device and interactions with our website to help us understand advertising performance. Meta may combine this with information it already holds in accordance with its own privacy terms.
The Meta Pixel is not loaded if you decline. You can reopen the cookie choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the website footer. Declining optional marketing tracking does not affect the core website.
4. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. We may share information only where necessary with:
- Other authorised LessonBuddy users, such as an instructor and their linked pupil or parent.
- Trusted providers that support hosting, authentication, payments, notifications, support and analytics.
- Professional advisers, regulators or law enforcement where required by law.
- Meta Platforms when you consent to the marketing tracking described above.
5. Data security
We use proportionate technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, access controls, secure cloud infrastructure and monitoring. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
6. Retention
We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to provide the service and to meet legal, accounting or security requirements. Retention periods can vary by record type. Account deletion requests are handled in accordance with applicable law and any necessary retention obligations.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion or restriction of processing.
- Receive certain information in a portable format.
- Object to certain processing or withdraw consent.

Driving pupils may be under 18. Instructors and parents or guardians should use LessonBuddy in a way that is appropriate for the pupil’s age and their legal responsibilities. Parent access is available where an account is properly linked.

Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we use recognised safeguards intended to protect transferred personal information.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice where required.
