Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using LessonBuddy, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

1. Description of Service

LessonBuddy provides a mobile and web application platform for driving instructors to manage their business, including scheduling, student management, payments, and communication tools.

2. User Accounts

2.1 Account Types

• Instructor Accounts: For driving instructors (requires paid subscription)
• Student Accounts: For learner drivers (free, created by instructors)
• Parent Accounts: For monitoring student progress (free)

2.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and complete information
• Keeping your account information up to date

3. Subscription and Payment

3.1 Instructor Subscriptions

• 60-day free trial for ADIs, up to 6 months for PDIs
• Monthly or annual subscription plans available
• Automatic renewal unless cancelled
• Prices as displayed on the pricing page

3.2 Payment Processing

• Payments processed securely through Stripe
• Transaction fees apply to student payments
• Refunds subject to our refund policy

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purposes
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Share inappropriate or offensive content
• Attempt to breach security or access unauthorized areas
• Use automated systems to access the service
• Resell or redistribute the service

5. Instructor Responsibilities

As an instructor using LessonBuddy, you are responsible for:

• Maintaining appropriate licenses and insurance
• Complying with all local driving instruction regulations
• Providing accurate information to students
• Handling student data appropriately
• Your own business practices and policies

6. Content and Data

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create (lessons, notes, messages). By using our service, you grant us a license to store and display this content as necessary to provide the service.

6.2 Our Content

LessonBuddy and its content (including teaching aids, guides, and templates) are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.

7. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee:

• Uninterrupted access to the service
• Error-free operation
• That all data will be preserved indefinitely

8. Termination

8.1 By You

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the app settings. Access continues until the end of the billing period.

8.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for other legitimate business reasons.

9. Limitation of Liability

LessonBuddy is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Actions or omissions of other users
• Issues beyond our reasonable control

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LessonBuddy from claims arising from your use of the service, violation of these terms, or violation of any rights of another party.

11. Data Protection and Privacy

Our handling of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using LessonBuddy, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will be resolved through:

• Good faith negotiation
• Mediation if negotiation fails
• Arbitration or small claims court

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any legal proceedings must be brought in UK courts.
